How to set WIFI credentials with up-to-date browsers?
« on: November 25, 2017, 03:29:06 pm »
Hi,

With the latest additions to Chrome/Safari on the Mac, i'm not able to set different wifi-credentials anymore, can't use the standard-setup way anymore.
Does anybody have a hint for me to do this with e.g. the built-in-webserver of the oak?

Thanks,

Philipp

Just replying here:

tried the local server with no success. All Browser-base versions emit a JavaScript error on 3 different Oaks: "InvalidAsn1Error: Expected 0x2: got 0x30"

Can't use the local web server of the oak either:
curl http://192.168.0.1/configure-ap?{"ssid":"Freifunk","sec":0}
{"r":-1}{"r":-1}

Any hints?

We've tried the same thing at the same time with the same result. In addition, I've updated one of the oaks to the newest firmware using this guide: https://digistump.com/wiki/oak/serialupdate, but beside version 10 at the bottom of setup page, nothing has really changed.

Have you maybe found any solution or workaround to get oaks through initial setup?

I've managed to work it around, by using older browser (picked Firefox 44.0). This is only for config/reconfig steps, so not that inconvenient.
