Shield tutorials - mirrored board?
« on: February 27, 2013, 10:39:12 pm »
Quick question - I have _just_ assembled the RGB kit using the tutorial and I'm a bit surprised to find that the male header pins do not fit the digispark controller. In fact, it's a mirror image... I think. Are the shields not supposed to fit directly into the female headers on the digispark boards?

Wow I hate desoldering... almost as much as I hate reading instructions.

Let he who has never done something like this cast the first groan!

Btw I find it a lot easier to just snip off the old header and pull each pin stub individually.

Exactly...

This snip and remove each pin is also useful for dead IC's.
Although I recommend using a socket so you never have to do it again ...(use good sockets they are only a few cents more).
