Can't do initial update
« on: March 21, 2016, 06:43:56 pm »
Tried it on two different routers at home and another at my office.  Both over the net and from the local server.  Never gets the update.

And at my office on windows 7 I never see the "Acorn*" SSID just an "Hidden" network but when I try to connect to it it never connects.  I can however connect from my Samsung G7 both at home and at the office - just never completes the update.

Not really up for changing my router settings just to get this thing to do it's initial update.

I do have a 3.3v UART adapter if resetting to Factory would be a good option at this point.

Have you tried the local updater? http://digistump.com/wiki/oak/tutorials/local_update

If you have a UART adapter you can also load the update via that and be done with it.

Yes that was what I meant by "local server" just got the name wrong.

I can dig out the UART adapter, just wasn't sure if that was the best course of action at this point or if there's something else.  Though after having tried over a dozen times I'm getting tired of trying :D

Sorry reading to fast and read "other server" instead of "local server"

UART adapter is the fastest route if you have one, since it is a sure bet - otherwise turning the router to B-only for the updates is the single best thing you can try.

I've just added a tutorial on how to do the update via serial: http://digistump.com/wiki/oak/tutorials/serialupdate
