Flash write error -1 has occured ...
« on: March 19, 2015, 08:19:35 am »
Hi!

Today my digispark pro and the RTC-Kit arrived (which makes me happy!).
But now the first upload (LED blink) sometimes produces the Error:

>> Flash write error -1 has occured ...
>> Please unplug the device and restart the program.

Plus, the LED only starts blinking when I disconnect USB and connect external 5V power.
The tutorial says: "As soon as it has uploaded you should see the LED start to blink! "...

But my main problem is, with the sketches from the RTC-tutorial.
They allways produce the Flash write error -1.

I tried all my USB-ports and completly uninstalled the old Arduino before installing the
digistump-one.

My PC runs on Win 8.1 64bit.

Did I miss something obvious or has anyone else the same problem?
Couldn“t find anything helpfull so far...

I had ever seen that intermittently and it never persisted after the steps you took or less that I recall.  If you can get a search to work I may have left a useful post.

The only added thing would be to try different, better cables.  And try using the button to reset when you can to minimize unplugging.  Windows can be confused by repeated or fast plug and removal activity.
