The Oak TFT Shield Kit allows you to build a Digispark shield that adds a 2.2“ color TFT LCD to the Oak. The shield works with the easy to use Adafruit GFX library. Use it to show project status, your favorite Twitter feed, or even turn it into an alarm clock!
This is an unassembled kit and requires basic soldering. This is designed for use with the Digispark Oak development board, which is not included.

We assume for these assembly instructions that you know the basics of thru-hole soldering. If you don't check out the links above, these boards are very easy to solder - we promise!
Empty kit bag (or if using a raw PCB, acquire parts) and verify contents. Note for Kickstarter Backers and Pre-orders: Headers are not included in each kit bag, but the entire order came with more than enough headers for all kits.
Solder the leads of the resistor and clip off the excess.
Cut or Snap a length of two male headers 9 pins long and one 3 pins long. Insert into corresponding positions (on the bottom of the board) and solder each pin. Be sure to leave the row of holes on the edge of the board open where there are two sets of 9 holes. This is where the TFT screen is soldered.
Tip: Inserting the headers into a breadboard and then placing the board on top can make this process easier.
Note: If you are using stackable headers, use them here instead of the standard male headers.
The TFT screen should have headers pre-soldered into place. Insert into the open row of holes on the right edge of the shield and solder each pin from the bottom.
Note: For a less permanent solution, use a row of female headers so you can remove the TFT screen as needed.
Your Oak TFT shield is complete!
