The Oak nRF24L01+ Shield Kit allows you to add short range wireless or mesh networking to your project using an nRF module from the Digispark Pro and DigiX for a very affordable price. While the Oak already has WiFi on the device, this allows you to communicate with other devices running nRF modules. The shield can be purchased with or without the nRF24L01+ module.
This is an unassembled kit and requires basic soldering. This is designed for use with the Digistump Oak development board, which is not included.

We assume for these assembly instructions that you know the basics of thru-hole soldering. If you don't check out the links above, these boards are very easy to solder - we promise!
NOTE: Before you start: If you have a multimeter check for shorts between the GND pin hole and the other pin holes - if you find any please send us an email at support at digistump dot com and we will replace the board.
Empty kit bag (or if using a raw PCB, acquire parts) and verify contents.
Insert the 2×4 female header as shown. Solder the leads on the bottom of the board.
Cut or Snap a length of two male headers 9 pins long and one 3 pins long. Insert into corresponding positions (on the bottom of the board) and solder each pin.
Tip: Inserting the headers into a breadboard and then placing the board on top can make this process easier.
Note: If you are using stackable headers, use them here instead of the standard male headers.
Insert the nRF24L01+ module into the socket - as shown.
Your Oak nRF24L01+ shield is complete!
