We assume for these assembly instructions that you know the basics of thru-hole soldering. If you don't check out the links above, these boards are very easy to solder - we promise!
Solder each header into the Oak, black plastic on top, solder from the bottom.
The 3 pin header is optional, those same connections can be found on the 9 pin headers, but it is required if you plan to plug a Digispark style shield into the Oak.
If you plan to use the Oak exclusively with a breadboard, we recommend using male headers instead - you can find spare male headers in most shield kits. You can also use the female headers with male headers inserted and flip the Oak over, or use jumper wires from the Oak to the breadboard.
