Using the Eclipse/Arduino IDE with the Digix

  1. Download the Arduino 1.5.x BETA IDE from: http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
  2. Install the IDE, (on windows saying yes to install the drivers)
  3. Download the Digix Addons zip file: https://sourceforge.net/projects/digistump/files/DigiXAddons-v06.zip/download
  4. Extract the digistump directory in the zip file to the Arduino IDE hardware directory:

  5. Download the Eclipse/Arduino IDE product from: http://www.baeyens.it/eclipse/download.php
  6. Unpack the Eclipse/Arduino IDE to a location of your choice.
  7. Start the Eclipse/Arduino IDE.
  8. Go to Window → Preferences and configure the Arduino Plugin (as described at step 4 of http://www.baeyens.it/eclipse/Install.html), it should look something like this:

  9. Create a new Sketch project as described here: http://www.baeyens.it/eclipse/UsethePlugin.html. In the new sketch Wizard the second step should look like:
