Rotary Encoder with Switch
This is a 20 step rotary encoder. A rotary encoder is similar to a potentiometer, except that it turns endlessly and reports "gray code" which allows an MCU to keep track of both direction and number of steps. These are high quality mechanical encoders, with integrated switch (push down), and come with the hardware pictured.
