Bummer!
« on: January 23, 2016, 03:05:02 pm »
So I'm getting Bummer! you don't own any devices from the particle dashboard.

I've run through the setup and connected my oak to my internet, the led was flashing fast after the reboot so I assume it was downloading the firmware?

Any idea what I can do now?

Thanks,

Ben

To add my oak seems to have downloaded firmware as it's blinking the led and I assume the blink sketch is included?

Ok well I've followed the steps multiple times and can now see my device in the particle dashboard.

But 192.168.0.1/info shows

Did the code do what you expected it to do?

Did you have it plugged into a USB port on a computer or a power brick?

Seems like a big part of the problem everyone is seeing is low power.
Those of us who plugged the board into USB probably have some un-bricking to do, those of us who used a bigger power pack have a working board.

Insufficient power should never brick a device - it may not work, it may not update, but it should not brick - if anyone sees this using the latest beta firmware I'd love to hear about it.

For the record I've done all development powered from USB ports on various machines, primarily a Macbook Pro.
