WiFi module IPv6 support
« on: May 24, 2014, 01:10:10 pm »
The datasheet of the USR-WIFI232-G mentions that it has a full IPv6 stack: "USR-WIFI232-G includes a fully IPv4 and IPv6 capable stack supporting TCP and UDP connection". However, I can't seem to find any documentation about this feature whatsoever.

I do read that "Address Auto-Configuration" and "Neighbor Discovery" are supported, which are both IPv6-only features. The former leads me to believe that the USR probably wants its IPv6 te be configured statelessly? So a static address is out of the question? I currently don't have slaac enabled (for IPv6 stability reasons), but I guess I can try... Regardless, there should always be a link-local address (if not, try supporting Neighbor Discovery :p)?

Does anyone have any experience with IPv6 and the module?
