DigiFi library with Basic Auth Support?
« on: April 13, 2014, 12:06:17 am »
Sorry for the NOOB question but if I am not mistaken, the DigiFi libraries do not support Basic Auth for connection to services such as Twilio or its equivalents which could be used as cloud gateways to send SMS and voice messages from the Digix.

Anyone working on adding this functionality to libraries or is there an easy alternative path than messing with the libraries myself?

Thanks for any suggestions

There is not currently support for it in the DigiFi library - but it should be pretty trivial to add, if you look at the Get or Post functions in the library you can add the additional headers there.

Thanks-

Adding the Authorization header worked well and Twilio was able to accept the Authorization of the request.  Their server is returning Malformed request so I am led to believe that this is probably because Twilio requires https.

Yep Twilio is https only - I wish the wifi modules (from USR, TI, or anyone) were https ready...
