Title: Can I use the latest Arduino IDE to program DigiSpark?
Post by: parikrama on March 09, 2013, 02:18:46 pm
Hi All, This may be a very n00b question, but I was wondering if the latest Arduino IDE (1.5.2) can be used for programming the DigiSpark? And how I may go about setting up the IDE for it?

Thanks!

You need to download the Digispark version as it includes the necessary software.
The good news is that it will program the other Arduinos.

Or you can just maintain several different directories with the different flavours, which is what I do.

Hi, parikrama & Mark,

This is globally true for most of the regular arduinos, but arduino 1.5 is mandatory for the new arduino "due".

As far as I know, Arduino 1.5 is still under development...

Thus, for all other arduinos including Digispark, use the Digistump version of arduino IDE.

Thanks RC
I won't bother downloading until they resolve it....
