I just purchased the relay shield and I see that the relay has both a normally open and a normally closed output. However, only the NO contact is accessible through the terminal block. If you were to stand the resistor up on the board, there would be room to use a three pin terminal block and gain access to both the NO and NC pins of the relay.
Just an idea. I need this functionality for my project, so I am just soldering a wire directly to the NC pin.
