Title: Mac USB not found
Post by: UncleTony on January 29, 2013, 10:52:47 pm
Hey Everyone!
First post, really excited to get programming on this beast.
I am working on my MBA, although I have a linux and win7-64bit machine, but I'd like to do most of this stuff on my mac so I can do this at work - if necessary.
anyways, i connected my newly soldered DigiSpark to my LCD screen and it didnt light up.. I backtracked all the way to just the USB device - it lights up with the green (power) light and another green blinking light that goes off every half second or so.
When i boot up the Arduino program and try to run the basics, I get this:
Binary sketch size: 756 bytes (of a 6,010 byte maximum) Running AVRDUDE... avrdude_original: usbdev_open(): did not find any USB device "usb"
If anyone can just help me get started that'd be amazing - Yes i have RTFM, but theres a lot to read so please be patient with me :)
THanks everyone!

To update everyone: I was able to get it to find the USB!!!
I had to enable both the Tools : Board, and Programmer to the Digispark
Now I'm having issues getting my LCD to light up. I'll post this to another topic
