Title: A fashion problem
Post by: Necuacuam on March 27, 2016, 07:00:56 am
Hi! This is Necuacuam from Many Places (in Spain right now).

I've been trying to connect my Oak for a month but unsuccessfully.

My first step: https://digistump.com/wiki/oak/tutorials/connecting but Oak update failed.

Then I tried https://digistump.com/wiki/oak/tutorials/local_update with the same result.

C:\oakupsrv-win32-r2>oakupsrv.exe

Using another WiFi capable device (NOT this machine) connect to your network, op
en a browser and go to: http://192.168.1.134:8080 and follow the instructions to
 update your Oak.

NOTE: You must use the config app at that address, it is configured specifically
for this local update. Status messages will print here during the update. Do no
t close this window until you have finished updating.

My next step was https://github.com/digistump/OakRestore. The factory restore was a success.

Then I started all again...
- changing my wifi to 20MHz..
- then using my iPad to connect to Oak
- then using my Android to connect to Oak
- then using 4G instead of LAN
- then using 3.3V (on board) insted of 5v (usb)
with the same result.

The follows commands are working
http://192.168.0.1/version
http://192.168.0.1/device-id
http://192.168.0.1/scan-ap
and so on..

Any idea will be truly appreciated

Thank you for your time.

If you have a serial device to use Oak Restore with then you can upload the firmware update with that and skip the troublesome first update
