Title: DigiUSB not working on Win XP
Post by: cholq on September 18, 2013, 07:38:02 pm
Hopefully I'm just missing something simple here.

I am unable to get DigiUSB working on my Win XP machine.  I have installed the DigiUSB Driver, and the install wizard indicated that it was installed successfully.  If I go to "remove/change programs", I can see it listed in the list of installed programs.

I open up the DigiUSB example sketch "Echo" and compile it. Everything compiles fine, and it asks me to plug in the Digispark.

I plug in the Digispark and it says that it uploads the sketch properly.  Then I hear a lot of beeping that is usually associated with plugging/unplugging USB devices, but nothing happens.  When I click on the Monitor.exe program, it tells me "No DigiUSB device detected.".  I also tried running send.exe and receive.exe from the command line, but I got the same error.

I've read a couple of other posts on this forum about issues with DigiUSB, and people have tested the DigiKeyboard to see if they can get detected on the USB bus at all. I tried this, and that sketch worked fine.  Also, when I the keyboard sketch started running, I heard the beeping for a new USB device being plugged in, but I also got little pop-up messages saying a new HID device was found.  I didn't get these pop-ups with the DigiUSB Echo sketch.

Any thoughts?
