Title: Shorted pins?
Post by: emcniece on September 14, 2013, 11:39:54 am
Got my DigiX today!! I was admiring the fine signature on the back of the board when I noticed that there's a couple of shorted pins:

Right where the print says "SD CS". I've seen plenty of cable select pins shorted together before - is the DigiX supposed to be like this?

Mine is NOT like that, and I just ran the ReadWrite SD Example (after changing the Serial() calls to SerialUSB().  On my DigiX, those 2 pins are clearly soldered separately.

@emcniece - yep that is a mistake - you can of course clear it up yourself or we can trade you for a replacement if you'd prefer - I should have caught that in my visual checks, I apologize that I didn't

Wow, that short totally prevented a bunch of the demo sketches from working. A soldering iron cleared that up nicely though, and everything works now!

Man... this little guy is a beast of an Arduino.
