Title: 3.3v powered
Post by: tunahammer on August 20, 2013, 11:42:00 am

I noticed
(https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui=2&ik=b17b32139b&view=att&disp=safe&realattid=ii_1409d03906b5519c&zw)

and am making a board that was based on the Due, which seemed to have problems powering the whole board via this pin. Does this really mean I can power the whole board with just this pin?

I'll be using a TRACO TSR-1 device http://www.adafruit.com/datasheets/tsr1.pdf (http://www.adafruit.com/datasheets/tsr1.pdf)

The image didn't come through - but with the DIgiX everything on the board except USB-OTG will work when powered at 3.3v via the 3.3v pin. In addition the 5v pin can be powered by 3.7-5.5v and everything will work as well (except USB-OTG if under 4.7v)

To clarify - everything on the board will work except USB-OTG but the 5v pins will not be powered - so a shield or circuit that depends on them will not work
