Can't download digistump windows drivers.
« on: January 24, 2016, 05:34:51 am »
Hi, guys.
So i decided to get started with digispark but the drivers won't start downloading like mentioned in the digispark resources page.
I couldn't find any manual download and without the drivers my arduino IDE does not have the option to set digispark as my programmer, also my pc freaks out and tosses its new hardware setup wizard at me every time i try to pop the digispark in.
Other than that everything else worked out well.
In case it's relevant my pc is ACER TravelMate 4100 running windows XP 32 bit, might be old but everything else seems to work.
Thanks.

Yo, so I had the same exact problem and just figured it out an hour ago. You remember that JSON file that the wiki tells you to put into the Arduino IDE? I opened it in a text editor and found the download link. Lo and behold, when they deprecated the old drivers, they never updated and pointed it to the new ones.

I think it's pretty stupid that they don't link to the actual files themselves in the wiki.

The correct link is: https://github.com/digistump/DigistumpArduino/blob/master/tools/micronucleus-2.0a4-win.zip

EDIT: Be sure to open the 32 bit drivers! AKA 'x86'
