Which board should be selected

I'm curious as to which board/bootloader option we should use in the IDE when they come out?

Guessing you\'re talking about the Arduino app in reference to \'IDE\': The Digispark uses it\'s own bootloader, and is unlike any Arduino in it\'s particular peripherals, so support for the digispark will need to be added as an extra extension, or via a special version of the open source Arduino software. Given this, it\'s a safe guess to say the board you would select is \'digispark\' and the bootloader would be \'digispark\' or something similar.

@Bluebie neither of those are certain, and less so once a new version of Arduino comes out. I expect the next revision of the Arduino software to include the Board definition for the digispark, and the bootloader should be compatible with an existing option already.

Looking forward to receiving my boards. In preparation, I\'ve been getting acquainted with Arduino. I wonder if mbrown\'s question above has been answered yet? Downloaded the IDE a couple of days ago, no Digispark. How often does a new IDE come out?

We will be releasing an installer to add Digispark support to the Arduino IDE, it is being polished up now and will be released by the time they start to ship.

Thanks, Erik, and well done. Looks like a very successful kickstart. Leapfrog to ARM with the next one?

Maybe not ARM but we are working on two follow-ups:
Digispark PRO: Full arduino pin for pin compatibility, fraction of size and price
Digispark Extreme: 32-bit Arduino compatible for around the price of an Arduino

Farther back on the burner we have an idea for a Raspberry Pi like board, only much more open.

Is there any progress on the additions to the Arduino IDE? I\'d like to be ready to go once my boards arrive.
