Hello,
I have a digispark (original). I keep getting the error that it is an unrecognized device and this seems to foil the attempt to send a program from one laptop computer.
I have been able to install drivers and send a program to this device on two other machines. Therefore I know that the board/bootloader is good, that cable is good and my process is good.
Have also tried different USB ports on the same machine.
One of the machines that works is hardware near identical to the one that fails. I have been through the bit about manually updating the driver as described on a youtube video that seemed to help some people.
I end up with two errors in the USBhub section of device manager, something like descriptor failed and set address failed. Sorry, not at machine right now.
About all I can think of at this point is to try a clean install of windows 10. The two near identical laptops (one has an SSD) where one works and one does not were both updated from windows 7 to 10 with remnants of 7 still on the machines. Software-wise one difference is I think I was more diligent about updating video drivers on the one that fails. I mention that because the errors in device manager seem to be related to a "usbfilter" that seems to be related to AMD. My laptop is an AMD processor with integrated AMD video. But that could be a red herring.
BTW, a digispark pro and leonardo work fine on this machine.
Very frustrating.
