Still no USM connection
« on: September 19, 2017, 03:34:54 pm »
I really like my Digi ATTiny85s. Every year I pull them off the shelf and try to get drivers loaded. I am on 64bit Windows 7 machine and still no luck. I have tried all the suggestions and wizards I could find in the forums.  Something is just not right. I have lots of other goodies that have special drivers and I not had a lot of problems getting them to work. Has anyone solved this more recently?

It seems like no one bothers to support these things anymore. I'm in the same boat as you.

Perhaps nobody bothers because whining "this DigiSpark thingy does not work" is pretty useless.

Is it an original Digispark or some chinese Ebay junk which may not even have a bootloader programmed in?
Did you only try one of them or did you try several Digisparks?
Did you try to deinstall the whole driver junk and reinstall it?
What does the f*cking Windows hardware manager tell about the device?

Perhaps then someone will bother.
By the way, I cannot help, as I am using Linux.

If you can't help, then maybe you should just STFU eh?

Original from Kickstarter (all say rev.2). I have 5. Once the device exits bootloader mode and reboots, it always appears as "Unknown USB Device" and I cannot update the driver to anything acceptable.
