Oak Wifi config- can't enter credentials on 2 oaks

Hello,

I successfully got  1 oak working but encountered a problem so I ordered 2 more oaks.  I can't get past the https://rawgit.com/digistump/OakSoftAP/master/config.html connection.  I enter my particle credentials, switch to the acorn network and click next but I keep getting "Unable to connect to your Oak, please ensure you are connected to the Oak's network and retry." after 20 or so attempts on updated chrome and firefox.  tried from chrome on a mobile device too.  I have tried entering the command for 192.168.0.1/network scan and am showing my wifi networks but I can't get to the screen where I enter the wifi credentials.

I have looked through a lot of forums and am not finding a solution.  anyone know how to get connected?

Dear bhodgs,

Many threads of folks fighting config/setup issues, particularly with first update.  This thread has a couple of good links and, as well, I offered up some further suggestions.
