Oaks updates and KRACK vulnerability?
« on: October 19, 2017, 06:47:17 am »
Erik,

Do you have a timeline for returning to working on the updates to convert the Oaks use ESP8266OTA based firmware? I know the BuidOne 3D printer stuff has over-run slightly, so presumably Oak development is still paused currently whilst that gets finished... and therefore might be for a couple more months yet before Oaks get more attention again? Interested to know where you got to with it before everything got too busy (how close is it to being ready?)

Also, concerned by the KRACK vulnerability to wifi, and am assuming that Oaks are susceptible in some manner? ...and therefore that they'll get an update to secure them better in due course. Any thoughts in how susceptible they are and how easy they are to secure? And what sort if timeline there might be to a fix (both on Particle or ESP8266OTA based firmwares).

Thank

Mike
