What do I do with the Oak?

Hmmm, 20 mins and I'm no closer to getting anything done with the Oak.

Two options apear
1. Particle, but not yet working. ...fair enough.
2. Arduino, Great I use it all the time, added the boards etc. no way to program, no serial port .....bugger!

What next?

I've plugged it into the PC USB (LAN connected by Ethernet, no WiFi) and I have one solid light and a flashing one about 2Hz (I suppose I'll have to read some docs to find out what they mean).

I then connected to the WiFi using my phone great but no clues there, I cannot connect to the rawgit website link because I've now got no internet on my phone.

Signed up to Particle.io but no help there!

Well I'm stumped (pun intended)......

Sorry, yes I ran the oak.exe and entered the particle login details but no config.json to be found where it's supposed to be or anywhere on my hard drive.

I ran it in a permanent command prompt and noticed that the result states "no devices available".  I assume this is why no config.json is written.

I did try to add a device in Particle.io but it would not work, I tried adding the ID as the last hex digits of the Wifi name of my Oak is this correct?

are there any instructions on adding a device in the particle.io site?

Right I think I've got it working and boy what a b*ll ache!!
The trick was having the ability to switch internet connections on and off, I used my hotspot on my phone (open) to get connected initially then I could configure the Oak to connect to my WiFi router then I could see it in the oak.exe CLI then it flashed Blink from within Arduino IDE.

Still no sign on particle.io but patience is a virtue.....
