Motor shield PCB schematics?
« on: January 16, 2013, 10:03:29 pm »
If anyone got a motor shield kit, it's not hard to notice that the soldering pads of the control chip at the "dot" side is placed in pairs.

The gaps between a pair is so tiny that you cannot solder it with a "slide", it actually shorts all of the pairs. I kind of done that in one of my motor shield, looks like the mess cannot be fixed. (The second one is good tho, I solder it one pad a time with plenty of flux.)

I tried to trace the PCB with bare eyes, and it seems those pairs shares the same trace. It would have worked if that is true.

Just wanna confirm it before I do any tests.

Thanks.

I think you are interested in the right side of the IC - where sets of two pins are tied together.

LOL actually I found no way I can download file attachments, clicking on the thumbnails has no effect.

With some googling I found that users need permission granted to use the file attachment function, is that a possible cause for this?

Thanks Erik. This proves I was right, now I\'m good to move on to codes! :)
