Hi,
First post on here, have tried searching but the returned results don't seem to cover the experience I am having. This image is the basic system info for the MacBook Pro being used.

New to Digispark, but not new to Arduino, or micro-controller development having cut my teeth on the 804x 805x series from Intel almost 30 years ago - and in machine code

. Also have had all the Arduino fun of making sure the correct USB/Serial drivers are installed depending on the chipsets and manufacturer / cloner.

Great piece of kit though, and we use them for high end control modules in our effects pedals.
We have a new project which needs a small controller for a guitar, and rather than an Arduino nano, we thought we'd try the Digispark for a change. Have downloaded the Digispark software for OSX and integrated it into the Arduino IDE and have the "Digiboards AVR Boards" submenu visible. Have trawled this site (I think) for other tips lik changing IDE, although we dont have the Digispark IDE listed - didn't pursue this too hard as some seem to say it has little efect.
We have gone for the standard Digispark and have copied the source code for blinking LED, just to get it all working first.
However while everything compiles, when asked to plug in the Digispark, the following shows in the IDE:
Running Digispark Uploader...
Plug in device now... (will timeout in 60 seconds)
> Please plug in the device ...
> Press CTRL+C to terminate the program.
> Device search timed out
I have installed the relevant bits and pieces, rebooted my MacBook Pro and tried direct to both USB ports, through a Mobee powered USB hub (is my rechargeable mouse/keyboard base station) and also through an Orico powered USB hub, but always get the same response from the IDE.
Does anyone have any further suggestions? I have probably missed something but for the life of me I can't see where.
Cheers
