Assertion failed: res >= 6
« on: May 16, 2015, 08:11:45 pm »
Anyone know how to get a pro beta to work using the latest greatest drivers/IDE from the wiki?

i renamed all my old arduino folders and whatnot, did an install from a freshly download package from the wiki and got this trying to upload basic start sketch:

Sketch uses 936 bytes (6%) of program storage space. Maximum is 14,844 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes of dynamic memory.
Running Digispark Uploader...
Plug in device now... (will timeout in 60 seconds)
Assertion failed: res >= 6, file library/micronucleus_lib.c, line 69

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

As a sanity check, I tried the same on a brand new machine, never had any arduino stuff on it, and same problem.

Then I tried pulling out my old Surface pro which I had used when this was still in beta, and it works there with the nightly build that was recommended at the time.

For reference, my first and main machine is a win 7, the new laptop is 8.1, and the surface pro, I'm not sure, but I think also 8.1 all 64bit

I also got a pop up with the following info:

I would really appreciate any help. I am dead in the water here on my main systems.

Do you have a second Digispark Pro you can test? The Beta firmware was not as final as the "final" firmware, and this could be a related issue showing up. Happy to send you a non-Beta if you'd like and don't have one: support@digistump.com
