Corrupt IDE download (Windows)
« on: January 11, 2013, 07:53:44 am »
I can't seem to download the Windows version of the updated Arduino IDE for Digispark. I tried this on Chrome and IE 8.

It gets about about 1.65 MB into the download and finishes. WinZIP says the file is corrupt.

Link I am attempting to use:
http://s3.amazonaws.com/digispark/builds/arduino-1.03-win-digispark-2013-01-05.zip

@KennyStump I just downloaded the entire file in 3 min 13 sec from the link you provided and it is completely intact. I\'m running Windows XP with IE8.

Do you have a stable internet connection?

Yes. I\'m trying to do this at work. I successfully downloaded the regular Arduino IDE (housed at googlecode.com) just now in about 2 minutes.

I wonder if it is possible the company network team is stopping the download after 1.6 MB because it thinks the Amazon cloud service is a security risk. It\'s probably not that but it\'s very odd.

The only type of download trouble I have had at work in the past is where the site is blocked completely.

I connected my Droid Bionic phone to the same Wifi WLAN as my work PC and was able to successfully download the ZIP. Transferred it to my work PC and it unzipped fine.

Not sure what was causing the problem but I worked around it.

Thanks for the help.
