Well, I was walking back to my office after picking up the parts from the company mailroom. Since everything else I\'ve ordered with small parts had at least has been in plastic bags inside the mailer envelope, I didn\'t even think that such small parts would go over the floor.
I realize you are somewhat a victim of your success, and that\'s why I\'m willing to give you a pass this time. But after the crunch, if you are just dumping parts in a bag that isn\'t labeled, I will likely decide to go to the next microprocessor, unsubscribe from your lists, and wish you the best of luck. Now, if the order is only one item, that is perhaps understandable, but when it is 3 sparks, 10 shields, etc. it becomes unwieldy on my end. I might not get to a particular shield for a few weeks, and then I have to go back to the site to make sure I have all of the parts for that particular one.
This goes back to my experience in buying my Uno, where it was a \'starter\' kit, and it was just a loose bag of components. I was starting out completely fresh. A few of the sensors in that original bag I had no idea which one they were. and just kept them for later. But it left a bad taste in my mouth, and I have not been back to that vendor since the original order.
Would I be willing to pay a little more to have things clearly labeled and bagged. Perhaps. It all depends on how much more the cost is, compared to what your competition charges.
But I\'ve bought from other vendors that do bag and tag everything, and I find I go back to them first because of that (and in fact the best one, dipmicro.com has some of the lowest prices for a North American retailer, so presumably they have a system down pat).
