Which board do I select when I want to upload code?
I tried Arduino Duemillanova w/ AT mega328, but I get a timeout error in stk500_getsync()

The URL on the back of every DigiX ("Get started at digistu.mp/digix") takes you right to it, it was also in the Kickstarter update - if there is anywhere else you thing we should put it to make it easier to find please let me know!

I read that on the back of the board already, and already tried it, but.....  I thought the "." was a blob of ink and I did not try to go to "digistu.mp".

Still not able to get this going.
I have followed the instructions from here:

What exactly am I supposed to end up with, directory-wise, after un-zipping the add-ons zip file?

Under My Documents, I have
Arduino
Arduino\DigiX Driver
hardware
libraries

I ran the 64-bit driver install many times - all successfully.

I completely removed and re-installed the 1.5.3 IDE including getting rid of all associated directories.

I do not see the DigiX in the list of boards.

I think it has to do with where the un-zipped contents of that add-ons folder go.  It seems there are two directory structures with similar stuff; one under "Program Files (x86)", and one under "My Documents\Arduino".

So, I admit to not being an expert here - am I missing something?  Is this supposed to be relatively painless?

I can set up a web meeting and show my screen with somebody if that would help.

Didn't notice the cross to the DigiX forums.      That is a bit subtle - I just wanted to see what was new . . .
I have noticed though if you hit 'WIKI' on http://digistump.com/products/30 digiSpark starter / resource you start at TopLevel here : http://digistump.com/wiki/

Looking For reply to tell me correct procedure to install.  Also note I see that there may be a problem since I got some quick popup about a Bossa somethingrather. Anyone got some ideas for me?

If you aren't seeing the board in the Tools->Boards menu then folder setup is likely the program.


The zip contains "DigiX Driver" and "Hardware" after unzipping those should be located as follows:


My Documents/Arduino/DigiX Driver
My Documents/Arduino/Hardware

The idea is to make it painless in the future by working out the issues now with Beta backers - which is what makes it a Beta - so there will be a bug or bad instructions here and there, but I'll be here to help as often as possible, so bear with us!

Thanks.  OK, I believe I have it going as desired now.
I get that this is beta and we work out bugs - no worries there, of course.

One of the above posts points out a DigiSpark set of instructions.  I think that was also part of the problem because of mis-matched software and drivers and such.

With a completely clean install (everything wiped out) and setting the correct directory structure, all look good.  There was some goofiness with serial ports, but I attribute that to stupid Windows and how it was handling things in the background.  After a couple cycles of plugin-disconnect-plugin-disconnect, the board was then seen in the IDE on the proper COM port.

So all is now good.

I am totally happy to go over this in a web meeting and help out with any documentation and such - if you need it.
